Pacherenc

The Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh vineyard is located in the Pyrenean foothills. It is bounded to the north by the Pyrenees and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.
The vines are planted at an altitude that varies between 180 and 300 m, exposed north-south, resting on 3 varieties of soil: clay-limestone, clayey, rolled pebbles.
The situation of the vineyard between mountains and ocean is favorable for an oceanic climate.
It straddles 3 departments: Gers, Pyrénées Atlantiques and Hautes Pyrénées.
The area of ​​the appellation is 300 hectares.
The grape varieties are: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Petit Courbu, Arrufiac.
Dry Pacherencs are wines that develop notes of citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits and exotic fruits.
Sweet Pacherencs are wines characterized by aromas of pear, quince, passion fruit, honey, candied fruit or dried fruit.

    Pierre Michel has kept the family tradition of cultivation and vine, bringing it "up to date", while perpetuating the style of their grape varieties and terroirs.


    The estate produces wines in AOC Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic Bilh and IGP Comté Tolosan, in the commune of Aydie in the Pyrénées Atlantiques.

    Located in Viella, in the Gers department, Château du Pouey is a family estate that cultivates vines from generation to generation.
